Large parties are required to make advance arrangements to guarantee the availability of canoes upon your arrival. Parties with reservations are responsible for renting the canoes or notifying Scioto Canoe Livery in advance regarding changes in reservation status.
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.
Rentals include: canoe/kayak, life jackets, paddles and transportation to the beginning of your trip site. Canoe capacity is two adults, or two adults and one child when the combined weight is no more than 700lbs. Kayak capacity is 250lbs.
* Must be at least 5 years of age to ride in a canoe
* Must be at least 18 years of age to rent a canoe/kayak or must have signed parental permission
*Minimum 2 people per canoe
Tips for Canoeing/Kayaking
Always wear shoes for wading & clothes that can get wet or dirty
Lock your valuables in your car before canoeing
Help protect the river & bring your litter bag along
As an individual, please respect the landowner rights
For your safety, please wear properly fitted life jackets at all times!

(Trip #2 must depart by 11am, book at least 3 canoes and requires a cellphone)

Scioto Canoe has primitive camping along the river. Port-O-John only.
